It makes more sense to me and it's probably what Khaled is trying to say)

I love Didi, but here where I live "Belad l Sham", Didi means "Wawa"...it's a word used to keep babies away from fire...
Didi = You'll be hit, you'll have wawa, you'll be hurt if you touch fire! So it's kinda hard to convince people to listen to Khaled using this particular song...the first thing you'll hear for a response is: Oh you want me to listen to a man who sings for babies! Khaled is even recognized as the Didi man… like my dad, the first thing he’d say about Khaled to make fun of him and piss me off is: Mesh Hada Taba3 l Didi Baba!
Bakhta on the other hand is charming & seductive! Even if one can't understand the words, the rhythm and the sensation will do! Long Live Bakhta haha XD

I remember days like this when I just stick with a Song , for a week La liberte old version, then oullei ldark for a month and so on , I guess you will stick with Bakhta but at the end you will stick with another one , I suggest Hey Ouedi

Khaled, released in 1992, is Khaled's self titled album, which established his reputation as a superstar in France and around the world. The album was produced by Michael Brook and Don Was.

The album was primarily sung in Khaled's native Algerian Arabic dialect with the exception of "Ne m'en voulez pas", which was sung in French.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not criticizing or undermining Didi, I can see it’s your favorite one ha
I’m just saying, that from my own experience Didi is not the right song to get people to listen to Khaled, at least not in my part of the world. I am aware of its importance for his career…it’s just not my favorite…I’m sorry :S!

But the thing with Bakhta is, that it’s one of the songs I can never ever get sick of, not just among Khaled’s but like in general! I do stick to songs for weeks but then I keep playing Bakhta all over again. I don’t know why but I’m in love with the goddamn song!

Hello there everybody...! it's been awhile..
I think "DiDi" is the song that introduced khaled to the world,its has this magnificent rhythm that will force you to dance even if you can't,with the excellent saxophone and the combination between khaleds voice and the melody,like every song from him khaled voice is it's self a marvelous melody.I never heard of anyone that hate this song in my life or insulting it or even criticize it (except for the lyrics)-it's happend usually in my country in the past because they can't understand it and it's too fast.
in the other hand the song "bakhta" its great with a great melody( I usually when I hear it
sometimes its sounds for me a sad song and sometimes a refreshing one,but for sure its make me feel happy,and the great thing about this song is the lyrics its like story its magnificent...,with khaled voice(by changing his voice like in the beginning of the song) btw his too famous for this talent in the Gulf Region.so finally for me didi has a special love its because it's the first song that introduced me to the KING.some of you may agree with me and some of you may not,so everybody has a different taste in music...no for everything....,Im really really sorry for the long talk so have a nice day everybody.. .

DIDI IS THE BEST SONG IN THE WORLD IN 1991/1992/1993.AND NOW

I learned it through khaleds songs and other algerian songs,from 1991-2009!!
it's different than saudi's arabic accent.
btw i didn't say anything about anyone hating didi in this forum!
so what i wrote in my post above it's all are my opinions...


i dont know but i think the europeans loves khaled more than the middle east or should i say arabs except for el maghreb al3rabi they love him the most (but i don't think they love him more than i do )

Wow you’re lucky. My Rai obsession only started last year, lol! Short time but I’ve witnessed a huge progress and now I fairly understand very slow standard Algerian Arabic …I can put 7allouf in a complete useful sentence :P
